Plano/Frisco
Designated as the 11th best city to live in the United States by CNNs Money Magazine, Plano, Texas has a population of 267,480 people, and is growing at a considerable rate. A northern suburb of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, this beautiful and populous town has grown slowly over the years, resulting in a good mix of old and new real estate, and beautifully landscaped public areas.
Founded in 1840, this once one horse town has become a commercial center for the Southern United States, home of the headquarters of several large companies, among them Dr Pepper, JC Penney, Siemens PLM Software, Cinemark and Frito-Lay. This city has also been declared the wealthiest city in the United States as of 2008.
With many well known people coming from the Plano area, such as Lance Armstrong, Carly Patterson and Nastia Liuken and Chace Crawford, it is no wonder that the city is fast becoming known for its propensity to turn out high achievers.
Served by the DFW Metroplex DART public transportation system, Plano is also one of the few areas in the United States that is well linked by affordable and easily accessible public transportation, to the areas surrounding it. This charming town will not be able to expand its borders any further as it is completely locked in by other municipalities, therefore it is reasonable to expect that property prices and taxes will continue to be high as demand in the area outstrips availability.
Just a few miles from the Dr Pepper Arena, which hosts among other things the Texas Tornados Hockey team, Plano shares many other things with the neighboring town of Frisco, which is also one of the fastest growing cities in Texas. Frisco is home to the DFW area IKEA, along with many other chain and independent shops.
With all of the shopping available, and large populations of these two fast growing cities, it is no wonder that the local EasySale Shop is booming. They represent a great way to turn all of the extras into cash in hand.
