Easysale named a Google Favorite Place!
Easysale is extremely proud to have been selected as a Favorite Place by Google! The next time you visit our Park Cities store on Lovers Lane, you’ll find a special window decal marking that designation along with a unique QR barcode. Don’t know what that is? You can read all about it on Wikipedia here, but essentially it’s a two-dimensional barcode encoded with a URL. Your smartphone may already have an application that can read the barcode, or you can simply download the code reader app yourself by checking out your provider’s online app directory.
When you see that window sticker, just scan your code reader-enabled phone over it and it’ll take you to Easysale’s listing on Google’s Local Business Directory.
You’ll be able to get directions, information about our services, download an Easysale coupon, read user reviews and even enter your own review, all from your cell phone and all within seconds after you scan the barcode! Only about 100,000 businesses in the United States have been honored by Google with the Favorite Place designation, representing about 1% of the approximately 28 million businesses around the country. Google maintains statistics on how often visitors search for a particular business on their site, requests directions, write a review, or otherwise look for information about that business. Those businesses with especially active directory listings are noted by Google as a Favorite Place and receive that window decal for their location. Unlike many business listings, a company can’t apply to be a Favorite Place — that honor is reserved for the select few whose directory listing receives the highest number of visitors.
QR codes, while already in wide use in Japan, are only now entering the U.S. market, and Google is among a handful of American companies utilizing this cutting-edge technology to provide better services to their customers.
